Denver police investigate possible cyanide poisoning
DENVER, Colorado ” Denver police say they are investigating a possible cyanide poisoning at a hotel about four blocks from the Colorado State Capitol.
Police spokesman John White says the Denver medical examiner’s office reported a strong odor of cyanide at The Burnsley hotel after a body was found on Monday.
White says a four-block area surrounding the hotel has been blocked off but no evacuations have been ordered.
The person was declared dead at the hotel. No other details have been released.
Calls to the hotel, the Denver Fire Department and the medical examiner’s office were not immediately returned.
