Detour in place for Gore Valley Trail in Vail

VAIL, Colorado – Vail’s recreation path along Gore Creek between the Glen Lyon building and Cascade Village remains temporarily closed while Eagle River Water & Sanitation District repairs a sewer line. Recreation path users are being rerouted to the South Frontage Road while the repair is completed, which may take until Friday, weather permitting.The recreation path is open west of Forest Road to the bridge crossing Gore Creek just west of the Glen Lyon building. Path users traveling west are rerouted across Glen Lyon bridge, up to South Frontage Road to Cascade Village, where they can rejoin the recreation path.The temporary closure and detour route is marked with signs and traffic cones.The sewer line being repaired is a streambed crossing, located downstream of the Glen Lyon bridge.
