VAIL – Developer and landowner Magnus Lindholm has joined the board of directors of Betty Ford Alpine Gardens and is sponsoring its summer internship program.

Lindholm, who has major land holdings north of Wolcott, is building the sprawling Village where Wal-Mart Supercenter and The Home Depot are located. The gardens hire two interns each summer to work with a children’s educational program or the garden volunteer program.

“I am excited about an opportunity to contribute time and money to Betty Ford Alpine Gardens,” Lindholm said “It gives me a chance to give back to the community and also share my interest and experience in gardening.”Continuing his interest in gardens, several parks and open space are planned for the other Village at Avon, Lindholm says.
