Developer of Wyo.-Colo. water line claims demand
CHEYENNE, Wyo. – The developer of a proposed water pipeline from southwestern Wyoming to Colorado’s Front Range says customer demand for water exceeds the pipeline’s capacity.
Aaron Million of Fort Collins proposes building a pipeline to carry water from the Green River to as far south as Pueblo, Colo. Several city and county governments in Wyoming oppose the project.
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers last year directed Million to name potential customers to prove the project’s need.
Million issued a statement Wednesday afternoon saying Douglas County and the Fort Collins-Loveland Water District in Colorado and Lake Hattie Irrigation District in Wyoming are interested.
Million didn’t have a full customer list available. The list was not available Wednesday afternoon from the Corps of Engineers.
