DILLON – Police say the new Walgreens store in the Dillon Ridge Plazas was robbed Wednesday night by a lone male seeking cash and drugs.

After entering through the front door around 9 p.m., the suspect went to the pharmacy counter and handed the clerk a note demanding pharmaceuticals and money. Police say he also told the clerk he had a gun. After being given what he wanted, the suspect fled out the front door in an unknown direction.

The suspect is described as a white male, possibly in his 20s and between 5’7″- 5’9.” He was wearing a denim ball cap, a dark sweatshirt, dark colored cargo pants and black framed glasses. The suspect had a mustache, goatee and tattoo on the right side of his neck.
