VAIL, Colorado – Atwater on Gore Creek located at the Vail Cascade Resort will once again hold a dinner illuminated by hundreds of candles on Saturday evening. The Candlelight Night dinner represents the resort’s commitment to Destination Earth, a program dedicated to the conservation of natural resources. Ten percent of the proceeds from the evening’s dinner will be donated to Habitat for Humanity.

“The donation by Atwater from this fun and inventive event is a welcome gift that will be used locally in our efforts at Habitat for Humanity of the Eagle and Lake Counties. We look forward to working with The Vail Cascade Resort on future projects that will benefit those in need,” said Kristi Moon, public relations representative for Habitat for Humanity.

The first Candlelight Night dinner was held this past spring, said Kirsten Texler of Vail Cascade Resort.

“Kids and adults had fun using ‘glow sticks’ to read the scrumptious menu that features local produce and sustainable dining options, and the flickering candles made everything even more special,” she said. “Knowing that proceeds from the dinner helped Habitat was the final, perfect touch.”

By choosing to operate under minimum electricity and other power resources, the Vail Cascade Resort demonstrates a pledge to recognize the need to preserve the world in which we live.

The candlelight dinner will begin at 5:30 p.m. Saturday. For more information, call 970-479-7014 or visit visit vailcascade.com.
