Discover fine wines from organic vines

VAIL, Colorado – Wine Director and General Manager Rick Colomitz will host Robert Sinskey Vineyards, whose winery grows 100 percent organic and biodynamic certified wine, on Tuesday at Restaurant Kelly Liken. This four-course winemaker dinner and pairing will begin at 6:30 p.m. and features a unique and customized tasting menu prepared by Chef Kelly Liken.

“It is an honor to host long-time friend Robert Sinskey and his family at Restaurant Kelly Liken,” Colomitz said. “Robert has long been a pioneer as well as a leader in sustainable farming. His philosophy of ensuring fertile land for future generations is something that Kelly and I feel strongly about.”

Robert and Maria Sinskey will be on hand answering questions and telling tales of their work and vineyards in the Carneros and Stags Leap district of Napa and Sonoma valleys.



“I’ve always felt wine is for the table, its purpose to enhance the dining experience. Well-crafted wine does not scream at you; instead, it should be elegant, balanced with a touch of mouth-watering acidity,” Sinskey said.

The evening will begin with passed appetizers and pours of Abraxas, Vin de Terroir 2009, from Scintilla Sonoma Vineyard.



“I’m very excited to have such special organic wines to pair with my food,” Liken said. “It is always such a great experience to create a menu inspired by such finely crafted wines … the flavors have come together beautifully.”

This four-course winemaker dinner and wine pairing will be available for $95 per person. Specials on bottles of these wines will be offered from partnering group Grappa Fine Wines and Spirits.
