Doc’s Thanksgiving muse
My family and my faith and a whole lot more,These are the things I am thankful for.But with each gift comes responsibilityTo be the best person I can be.A cheery smile and a positive attitudeAre as good for me as they are for you.For it is not just in the act, but in the action as wellThat measures our lives at the final bell.I do not count my possessions to give me my wealthBut the simple things like having good health. It is not by accident you often hear me say,But by making healthy choices each and every day. But, making good decisions is harder than notSort of like having to get another shot. The truth is immunizations are one of the best things you can doSo get your flu shot and the flu won’t get you.Don’t drink and drive no matter where you goAnd for our young people, it is OK to say no.Put on your sun block and wear your seatbelt,My wishes for your health are certainly heartfelt.I hope you can be thankful this holiday season,Living where we do is truly enough reason.I am thankful as well for all of youYou are my inspiration for what I do.I hope you have a wonderful, thankful and healthy holiday season.Remember your health is your responsibility. Health is our greatest asset and it doesn’t happen by accident. If something doesn’t seem right, or questions are left unanswered don’t wait, call your doctor.Dr. Drew Werner of the Eagle Valley Medical Center writes a weekly column for the Daily.
