Dogma Athletica in Edwards hosts yoga workshop starting Friday

Dogma Athletica in Edwards hosts Carson Efird for a weekend Prana Flow workshop, Friday through Sunday. Efird comes to the Vail Valley from Los Angeles, where she is an assistant and mentor in Shiva Rea’s Prana Flow Teacher Training program. She is also the yoga dDirector for EVOLVE Movement in Raleigh, NC and leads their Prana Flow affiliate teacher training. Presently, Efird is pursuing her MFA in modern dance at UCLA where she also teaches yoga in the world arts and cultures dance department.

The workshop begins Friday with a two-hour session honoring the unifying energy of 11-11-11 and will take attendees through a heart-opening lunar flow by candle light under the full moon. Saturday and Sunday, attendees can expect a deeper exploration into symmetrical and asymmetrical backbends. Each class will be devoted to rejuvenating the body through the flow of poses followed by restorative twists, forward folds, mantra and meditation.

Efird is an enthusiastic student and teacher of Prana Flow, the evolutionary method of embodied transformation and radiant health created by Shiva Rea. She is also inspired by the teachings of Tantra and Ayurveda. Learn more about Efird at

Space is limited, so call ahead to reserve a spot in the studio. There is special pricing for Dogma Athletica members, local yoga teachers, and Eagle County School employees.
