VAIL, Colorado –The National Mill Dog Rescue will have a booth at the Teva Mountain Games Friday through Sunday at Golden Peak in Vail. There will be several dogs available for adoption.

The organization rescues retired breeding dogs from puppy mills. The group says these dogs often spend years in cages.

Responsible breeders raise all of their dogs with proper nutrition, consistent veterinary care, frequent opportunity for exercise coupled with positive human contact and socialization, the group says.
