Donations, expenses for Crossroads sides

Edward Stoner

VAIL ” Opponents of Solaris had spent more than twice as much on their campaign as developer Peter Knobel had as of Friday, documents filed with the town of Vail show.

But an August deadline for the “issue committees” to report their expenditures will likely show a more complete picture of the spending.

The committees don’t have to report expenditures until they have been paid.

The vote on the Crossroads proposal is today.

Friends of Vail Village, who oppose the Crossroads proposal, spent $20,782.98 from June 5 through Friday. Friends of Crossroads, a committee funded by the developer, spent $10,160.35 during the same time period.
