EAGLE, Colorado” An illegal immigrant was sentenced Wednesday to three years in prison for selling cocaine to undercover police in July, authorities said.

Josue Roberto Delgado, of Dotsero, pleaded guilty to felony distribution of cocaine Monday, the Eagle County District Attorney’s Office said.

Delgado was investigated for five years by the Eagle County Sheriff’s Office and the Two Rivers Drug Enforcement Team, a regional task force.

Eagle County District Attorney Mark Hurlbert called the sentence a “little light” because prosecutors were asking a judge to sentence Delgado to six years in prison.

The District Attorney’s Office had information that Delgado had been dealing “for a long time,” Hurlbert said.

“But he is going to prison and is going to be deported,” Hurlbert said.

Ted Hess, Delgado’s defense attorney, did not return a message left with his law firm.

Also arrested in the July drug deal were Carlos Elias Dominguez, of Dotsero, and William A. Seivert, of suburban Denver.

Dominguez, also known as Jorge Carlos Rodriguez, pleaded guilty to felony possession of cocaine in October, Hurlbert said.

Dominguez was sentenced to four years in prison and court costs Wednesday, the District Attorney’s Office said.

Seivert has pleaded guilty to possession of less than one gram of cocaine and is scheduled to be sentenced Jan. 3, authorities said.
