Douglas G. Smith joins Vail Valley Medical Center

Vail Valley Medical CenterPresident and CEO Doris Kirchner this week announced that Douglas G. Smith, a Certified Fund Raising Executive and Association for Healthcare Philanthropy Fellow has joined the medical center’s senior administrative team as vice president of development and marketing.

“Doug brings more than 30 years of experience in fundraising and capital campaigns to our organization,” said Kirchner. “He has worked for several very respected medical institutions and his wealth of knowledge will be extremely valuable.”

Most recently, Smith worked at Greater Baltimore Medical Center in Towson, Md., as vice president of development. Before that, Smith worked in philanthropy at Pittsburgh Mercy Health System in Pittsburgh, Penn.
