Dover Quartet plays free show in Vail Thursday

Special to the Daily |
On Thursday, Bravo! Vail’s free concert series continues with the acclaimed Dover Quartet performing chamber music at the Vail Interfaith Chapel at 1 p.m. today in a program titled “Beethoven and Beach.” Pianist and Bravo! Vail Artistic Director Anne-Marie McDermott joins the Dover Quartet for an afternoon concert that features American composer Amy Beach’s Piano Quintet in F-sharp minor. Beach, who died in 1944, was one of the first female composers to achieve wide recognition in America.
The Dover Quartet is enjoying its first-ever Young Professionals In-Residence week at Bravo! Vail. During their weeklong stay in Vail, the Dover Quartet will be featured as part of Bravo! Vail’s Linda & Mitch Hart Soirée Series on July 26 at the Precourt Residence in Lake Creek.
This coming Sunday, there is a second chance to catch the four members of the Dover Quartet — Joel Link, Bryan Lee, Milena Pajaro-van de Stadt and Camden Shaw — in concert at the Lodge and Spa at Cordillera at 4 p.m.
