Dowd Junction recreation trail open
Vail, CO Colorado
VAIL, Colorado – The Dowd Junction recreation trail has reopened for the 2012 summer season. The opening is several weeks earlier than most years due to the early warm weather. Opening the path requires the installation of a wildlife protection screen which allows for continued use of the path during the deer migration season.
The recreation trail from Sunburst Drive to East Vail is also currently open and clear of snow. Other sections of recreation path within Vail that are not maintained in winter will reopen as conditions allow, with all paths expected to be cleared and open by April 20.
