Downvalley fireworks Saturday at Eagle County fairgrounds
EAGLE, Colorado – A downvalley fireworks display will take place at the Eagle County Fairgrounds at about 9:30 p.m. Saturday. The fireworks should be visible from most parts of Eagle. The Greater Eagle Fire Protection District reminds residents and visitors that fireworks that explode and leave the ground are illegal. These fire works can cause serious injury and start fires, the fire department says. The fireworks are hosted by the towns of Eagle and Gypsum, and Eagle County. The event is made possible by the cooperation of the fire district, the Gypsum Fire Protection District, Western Eagle County Ambulance District, Eagle River Fire Protection District, the U.S. Forest Service, Bureau of Land Management, Eagle County Sheriff’s Office, Eagle Police Department, Vail Mountain Rescue, Eagle County Aircraft Rescue Fire Fighting Crew and the Eagle Valley Chamber of Commerce.
