Downvalley gets funky with the Last Bus

Special to the Daily Membes of Fort Collins-based The Last Bus know how to mountain boogie. That's what they call the special brand of music they create. The group plays the Brush Creek Saloon in Eagle at 9 p.m.

EAGLE – The Last Bus mixes elements of jazz, funk, Southern and progressive rock, heavy groove and everything else members have heard to produce a sound they call “mountain boogie.”Reveling in intense explosive jams, as well as creative and original songwriting, the Last Bus plays the Brush Creek Saloon tonight at 9. Josh Fabian (bass and vocals), Mike Beck (drums and vocals) form the solid rhythm section, while Shawn Cooper (keyboards and vocals) and Rob Jones (guitar, lap steel, mandolin and lead vocals) lay down melodies that are both fluent and soulful.
