Dozens of vehicles damaged by BB gun shootings in Eagle
EAGLE – Four people are in custody after they allegedly damaged more than 30 vehicles with a Co2 BB gun.
Local police said they expect the number of victims to climb as more report damage to their vehicles, said Jessie Mosher, public information officer with the Eagle County Sheriff’s Office.
About Crime Spree
Reports rolled in Wednesday up and down the Vail Valley, from Avon all the way to Gypsum. The damage was done between 6 p.m. Monday and 1:50 a.m. Tuesday, police said.
“Local law enforcement wants to assure our community that it was a Co2 BB gun that was used in this crime spree,” Mosher said.
The Eagle County Sheriff’s Office, Eagle Police Department and Avon Police Department are asking anyone with information regarding the incidents, or who may be a victim to contact local law enforcement.
The case remains under investigation, so the suspects’ identity and the charges they face are not yet being released.
