Dr. Scholl’s shoplifted in Gypsum?

Dustin Racioppi

GYPSUM, Colorado ” A 65-year-old woman was allegedly caught shoplifting from a market in Gypsum, Colorado.

She was busted by the store clerk, who accused the woman of trying to steal before, though nothing had been reported to police, a deputy’s report said.

The elderly woman admitted to deputies that she stuffed her purse with various items “-including a birthday card, Dr. Scholl’s shoe inserts and a bottle of calcium magnesium ” but claimed that she had never stolen before.

Deputies summonsed the woman with theft-shoplifting and theft-concealment of goods.

Because she didn’t have a valid driver’s license, her husband had to come pick her up from the store. Deputies said she called her husband for a ride and said, “Come get me. They caught me.”
