Driving and putting for cancer

EDWARDS ” In July, the Sonnenalp Golf Club hosted its seventh annual Scramble Against Cancer.
Once again, Rosana and Johannes Faessler hosted, quite possibly, the most lavish golf tournament and after party.
This event consistently sells out to raise money to help the Shaw Regional Cancer Center in Edwards.
The new breast diagnostic clinic is named for the Sonnenalp Foundation.
Fabulous prizes were awarded to the winners, including seven nights and four rounds of golf at the Palmetto Dunes Resort.
The team of Randy Theisen, Marcia Sorocki, Scott Beaver and Chuck Stephens came in first to claim the big prize.
A close second were the team from Specialty Sports: Cindy Gilbert, Nathan Lewis, Joyce Dinella and Matt Swearingen, who won seven nights on Kiawah Island.
The group from Brightwater Club came in third place.
One Willow Bridge Road sponsored the “closest to pin” contest. Steve Wyatt came closest of all, landing his ball a mere 4 inches from the 14th hole.
