Drunk delays Avon gas station customers
Avon, CO Colorado
AVON, Colorado ” As police were sitting across the street at the Conoco station on Nottingham Road in Avon, Coorado, an allegedly drunk man was holding up the checkout line inside the Phillips 66 convenience store with his unwillingness to move, the police report said.
When police tried talking to the man, who was leaning on the counter for balance, police said, he wouldn’t cooperate. He just mumbled something about not being allowed to buy something.
With anxious and frustrated consumers waiting behind the man, police tried to bring the conversation outside. The man wouldn’t budge. After practically dragging him away from the counter, police were able to get the man out of the store, but in handcuffs.
He wasn’t cooperative on the ride to the station, hurling threats of a lawsuit and claiming he was a victim of police brutality. At the department, he was just as unbearable, so police took him down to Eagle County jail, where he spent the night and received a summons for disorderly conduct and trespassing.
