The Dry Lake Motocross Park came alive May 31 through June 1 as riders from across Colorado and the country converged in Gypsum for the Dry Lake Sprint Enduro, the fifth round of the Rocky Mountain Enduro Circuit. There was a strong turnout with participants in every class from the Beginner 50cc youth to the seasoned age 70-plus class.

The event showcased not only high-level racing but the strong sense of family and community that defines the local off-road scene.

What made this event stand out wasn’t just the competition; it was the number of families racing together. Parents and kids, siblings, and even multi-generational teams lined up to take on the two-test course layout, which offered both speed and technical challenges. The event highlighted the growing popularity of off-road racing as a shared passion for families, many of whom camped out at the park for the weekend.

Dry Lake Motocross Park continues to expand its reputation as a hub for off-road recreation in Eagle County with designated areas for motocross, enduro, singletrack and youth riders. Events like this reflect the park’s commitment to building a welcoming, family-oriented riding culture rooted in responsible land use and community support.

The event would not have been possible without the dozens of volunteers who assisted with everything from course prep to timing and logistics. Rocky Mountain Sport Riders was thankful to all who helped make the weekend a smooth and memorable experience.
