DU sorority burglarized as students slept

A burglar hit a sorority house early this morning near the University of Denver campus as students slept, police said.

The burglary was reported at 5:45 a.m. today at 2233 S. Josephine St., said Sonny Jackson, a Denver Police Department spokesman.

The man threatened the woman verbally, but did not physically harm her, before fleeing, Jackson said.

Another woman at the house told investigators her room had been burglarized as well.

Jackson declined to say what was stolen.
