Everyone is welcome
Duchess Ride presents its all-girls Skateboard Day for all ages and abilities at the Edwards skate park on Sunday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
From 11 a.m. to noon, there will be an introductory lesson for girls, and in the spirit of community, boys are welcome, too. There is spare gear to use.
In addition to shredding the park, food donated by Snowboarders and Skiers for Christ and Weston Snowboards will be on the grill all day and available for free, playing games and giving out a bunch of prizes and giveaways (including new skateboards), as well as enjoying music from DJ Macklin.
