Daily staff report
Eagle CO, Colorado
HL Art Show 01 TS 11-22-08

EAGLE, Colorado ” Eagle Art Works will hold its annual holiday art sale today and Saturday. The sale will feature a variety of work created by local artists. Artwork for sale includes paintings by Mark Lemon, jewelry by David Mayer and Kris McKinney and ceramics by both David Farrall and Kate Tennant.

Holiday shoppers will have the opportunity to find unique and affordable gifts while watching artists demonstrate their techniques. Farrall, an award-winning potter and ceramics teacher at Colorado Mountain College, says the open house is much more than an art sale.

“It’s turned into a great social event,” he said. “Friday night is especially fun. We have wine and appetizers and catch up with friends and neighbors.”

The art and sale and demonstrations continue on Saturday.

“It’s a really great way to support local artists while giving meaningful, one-of-a-kind gifts this holiday season,” Farrall said.

Eagle Art Works is located at 851 Sawatch Road in Eagle (off of Chambers Avenue). Sale hours are today from 6 to 9 p.m. and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
