Eagle board candidates face off

EAGLE, Colorado ” There are plenty of issues in the town of Eagle ” traffic congestion, potential big box store development, the future of Brush Creek, location of affordable housing.

Candidates for Eagle Town Board will discuss their views at a special candidate forum on Thursday at the Eagle County Administration Building in Eagle.

The forum, to be held in the commissioner’s meeting room, will begin at 7 p.m. However, candidates will be on hand for a meet and greet session starting at 6:30 p.m. Light refreshments will be served.

The question and answer session will be televised and shown on channel 18, the ECOTV public access station. The program will be posted to the county’s Web site, and will also air on television several times before the April 1 election.

Kathy Chandler Henry will moderate the forum. Citizens will be able to submit questions for candidates.

When: Thursday; 6:30 p.m.: Meet the candidates; 7 p.m.: forum

Where: Eagle County Administration Building; commissioner’s meeting room
