Eagle Co. school district moves headquarters

EAGLE COUNTY, Colorado ” The school district has moved its headquarters to the old Eagle Valley Medical Center building on Chambers Avenue in Eagle, across from the Justice Center.

The school board approved buying the building in January. School leaders then said their current office on Third Street in Eagle, built in 1976, is too small. A growing staff of 36 was spread out among six satellite offices to make room.

Buying and renovating the medical center building into school district offices cost around $2.3 million.

The district’s business, communications, professional development, learning services and human resources department have moved to the new offices, at 948 Chambers Avenue.

The technology, food services, early childhood and transportation departments will remain at the old Third Street location.
