Eagle construction information meeting Monday

EAGLE — Launch day is approaching for the Eby Creek Road construction, and next week the entities involved in the large-scale project are inviting community members to attend a public meeting to discuss their plans.

Flatiron Construction, the Colorado Department of Transportation and the town of Eagle will host the public open house Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Eagle Town Hall.

The Eby Creek Road project will upgrade the Interstate 70 Eagle interchange and portions of Eby Creek Road by constructing roundabouts at ramp intersections and a pedestrian bridge over I-70. The safety improvements are funded in part by Colorado FASTER. The project is scheduled from July through the fall.

“This will be a great opportunity for members of the public to learn about the construction and what will be built this year and how we are going to manage traffic and access to adjacent businesses,” said Tom Gosiorowski, Eagle town engineer.

Gosiorowski added that the session will also provide local residents an opportunity to meet the project manager and superintendent who will be on site for the next two years as the Eby Creek Road work is completed.
