Eagle County attorney to lead statewide association

EAGLE, Colorado – Eagle County Attorney Bryan Treu has been elected president of the Colorado County Attorney’s Association, a group comprised of attorneys representing all 64 counties in the state. The association serves to educate its membership and share resources regarding legal issues facing local county governments.

Treu served on the association’s executive board for the last three years, prior to being nominated for the presidency last week. In his role on the executive board, Treu has facilitated several educational seminars and routinely speaks at conferences throughout the state on legal issues relating to local government.

Treu has represented Eagle County since 2001 and was appointed the county attorney in 2005. Prior to joining Eagle County, he was an assistant county attorney for Larimer County and has spent the majority of his legal career representing public entities including counties, municipalities, school districts and special districts.
