Eagle County bars cited for serving to underaged customers

EAGLE COUNTY, Colorado – Ten Eagle County businesses received citations for selling liquor to underage patrons as part of a liquor compliance check conducted by the Eagle County Sheriff’s Office and the Avon Police Department on Friday.The liquor compliance checks were conducted at liquor licensed establishments, including package stores, restaurants and convenience stores. Compliance checks help assure that youths do not have easy access to alcohol and that people over 21 years of age are not buying alcohol for underage youths, including employees and liquor license holders, according to police. Ten of the sixty-six establishments visited sold liquor to the underage minor.The 10 liquor licensees cited for selling liquor to an underage person were:• E-Town, Edwards.• Paddy’s, Eagle-Vail.• Stop N’ Save, Edwards.• Avondale, Avon.• Bella Mia, El Jebel.• Down Valley Tavern, El Jebel.• Asiana Fusion Restaurant, Basalt.• Cuvee World Bistro, Basalt.• Two Rivers Bar & Caf, Basalt.• Willits Wine & Spirits, Basalt.Funding for the liquor compliance check was provided by the Eagle River Youth Coalition.
