Eagle County child vaccination prices to increase
Vail, CO Colorado
EAGLE COUNTY, Colorado – Beginning Jan. 3, the cost of vaccines for children ages 18 years and younger at Eagle County Public Health offices will increase from $10 to $14 per vaccination. Adult vaccination prices, which vary depending on the immunization, will remain the same.
The fee increase will help cover the cost of the additional resources needed to keep up with the increase in the number of vaccinations seen at county clinics. According to Public Health Nurse Staci Bruce, vaccinations are the single best way to prevent a person from contracting and spreading potentially life-threatening illnesses such as measles, mumps and polio.
“Vaccines not only protect individuals but also entire communities,” said Bruce.
