Eagle County Commissioners to hold Home Rule discussion
The Eagle County Commissioners will hold a public meeting for the purpose of discussing Home Rule on Thursday, June 30, at the Vail Municipal Building, 75 South Frontage Road, in Vail.
The meeting will be held in the council chambers and will begin at 6:30 p.m. The public is encouraged to attend.
This meeting marks the third such discussion the commissioners have held on the subject of Home Rule. Public meetings were held on April 13 in Eagle and June 22 in El Jebel. The June 30 meeting will address legal steps associated with becoming a home rule county as well as issues which a home rule charter commission may consider if elected.
