Eagle County high-end properties continue to sell

EAGLE COUNTY, Colorado – Six properties with sales prices of over $4 million sold in November in Eagle County, bringing the total number of homes sold costing over $4 million in Eagle County to 41 for the year.
The numbers come from an analysis released Friday by Trevor Theelke of Land Title Guarantee Co. in Eagle.
The high-end sales in 2010 represent 25 percent of the overall dollar volume in the county. Many of the sales were from Vail Village Solaris project, where there have been 16 sales averaging $7.4 million a piece.
Eagle County had $113,577,217 in dollar volume in November, bringing the total dollar volume up 38 percent over the total dollar volume in November 2009, which was $82,428,395.
The year-to-date total dollar volume in 2010 totals nearly $1.4 billion, up 71 percent over the dollar volume year to date in 2009. Transactions in 2010 were up 37 percent year to date over 2009, with 1,153 and 843, respectively.
Multifamily homes continue to be the largest-selling market sector with 555 transactions year to date, or 54 percent of the total market. Single family homes follow closely with 396 transactions year to date, or 39 percent of the market. Vacant land consists of 7 percent of all Eagle County sales.
The average sales price in November was $1,014,082. Vail Village had 16 percent of the overall dollar volume, and East Vail had the most transactions with 10.
