Eagle County holds Math and Science nights in November

EAGLE COUNTY, Colorado The Gifted Education Team will host a series of programs from the Western Colorado Center for Math and Science on Nov. 6 and 7, including a free Math and Science Night at Brush Creek Elementary in Eagle, Colorado. On Nov. 6 at Berry Creek Middle School, teacher Michael Moser will host the centers director and founder, John McConnell, and his intern, Derek Vigil, who will work with high ability, gifted and other interested students on math and science lessonsAlso on Nov. 6, the Gifted Education Teams Math & Science Night for grades 2 to 6 will be held at Brush Creek Elementary School in Eagle from 6 to 8 p.m.Several Eagle County School District teachers have volunteered to assist with this event and will bring a number of their students to train as Mentor Scientists to help the younger students.Reservations are required for Math and Science Night, and all students require an adult chaperone. Two advanced math classes and the EAGLE program students will experience hands-on geometry and science lessons.
