Eagle County inmate dials up trouble

Dustin Racioppi
Eagle County, CO Colorado

EAGLE, Colorado ” An Eagle County inmate used his phone privileges to get himself into trouble on Feb. 2 when deputies say he violated not one, but two restraining orders against him.

The sheriff’s report said the man called a woman who had an active restraining order against him, and according to the inmate, asked her to come to his court date the following day.

The woman, however, said he called her twice begging for her to drop charges she filed against him. As a trade, he’d go back to Mexico and leave her alone, she told deputies.

No matter what the reason, he still violated that restraining order and another one that also was active. He was summonsed with two counts of violation of a restraining order and earned himself a brand new court date, which after this ordeal, he likely won’t be asking for his lady friend to show up for.
