EAGLE, Colorado – A local resident’s self-defense program is in the running for a grant from the Pepsi Refresh program.

“Fight Like A Girl” is a program developed by Kym Rock to teach women and kids to think smarter and have the skills and awareness to keep themselves out of dangerous situations and to get away from an attacker.

Rock is taking “Fight Like A Girl” on a year-long national tour to train instructors and establish ongoing programs and classes in every state. There are 77 million victims of abuse every year in the United States and one in three women and children in our country become victims of violent abuse.
