Eagle County real estate remains on pace with last year

EAGLE COUNTY, Colorado – The February real estate numbers for Eagle County had 82 transactions and just over $82 million in dollar volume, creating an overall average sales price of $1 million. These numbers remain on pace with 2010.

While 45 percent of all transactions are still being sold for under $500,000, there were five transactions over $5 million that helped catapult the average sales price for the county to the $1 million figure.

Bachelor Gulch had one sale in February, for $8.9 million. Solaris in Vail Village continues to sell at an average price of more than $7 million with three sales in 2011 totaling $22 million. The Ascent is also playing a large role in the 2011 statistics with 19 sales totaling $10 million; the Ascent units are averaging $362 a square foot.



Avon was the area with the most transactions in February with 18. There were six sales in Vail Village accounting for 80 percent of the total dollar volume in Eagle County.
