Eagle County real estate slips in April

EAGLE COUNTY, Colorado – Real estate sales in Eagle County were down 58 percent for April compared to April 2008, according to figures released Tuesday.
For the month, $57.6 million in real estate was sold, compared to $137.7 million last year, Land Title Guarantee Company reported. There were 54 transactions for April, compared to 117 in April 2008.
The average single-family home sold for $1.7 million.
Vail Village had the most sales of any area, with seven transactions.
Snow usually comes and goes in this part of the state. A forecasted storm is expected to stick around for a while. Forecasters are calling for snow to persist throughout the weekend in the high country, with a prospect of a couple of feet of powder by the time the storm starts to diminish on Monday.
