Eagle County redistricting hearing is Tuesday
May 12, 2011
EAGLE, Colorado – The Eagle County Board of Commissioners will hold a public hearing on proposed commissioner districts during its regular meeting on Tuesday. The meeting will take place at 1:30 p.m. in the Eagle County Room.
Colorado law requires the county to evaluate commissioner districts every 10 years following the completion of the U.S. Census. Districts must be as nearly equal in population as possible, based on Census counts. As proposed, the plan includes minor adjustments to the existing boundaries.-
Tuesday’s meeting will include ample opportunity for public input and all interested community members are encouraged to attend. A formal resolution adopting the districts will be scheduled for a future meeting.
