Vail, CO Colorado
EAGLE COUNTY, Colorado ” Homeowners in Beaver Creek, Eagle-Vail, Edwards and other parts of unincorporated Eagle County must have wildlife-resistant garbage cans by Tuesday.
The law was passed last year in an attempt to prevent bears and other animals from raiding garbage cans and breaking into homes. Several bears have been killed in the region after getting into homes in search of food.
Wildlife-resistant garbage cans be bought from local garbage companies. For more information visit http://www.eaglecounty.us/wildlifeordinance.
