Eagle County Senior Health Fair is Wednesday
Vail, CO Colorado
EDWARDS, Colorado – The Eagle County Ambulance District and the Eagle County Healthy Aging Services have worked in a collaborative effort to offer the 7th annual Senior Health Fair Wednesday from 8:30 a.m.-11:30 a.m. at the Eagle County Ambulance District Building in Edwards.
This Senior Health Fair focuses on the health needs of older adults with a variety of exams such as: vision and hearing screenings, foot and balance screenings, skin cancer exams, flu shots (with Medicare card) and a memory baseline exam. Dieticians will be on hand to discuss lab results; paramedics will check glucose, blood pressures and oxygen levels. New for this year will be CPR and automatic external defibrillator demonstrations and a lecture series on a variety of medical topics.
“We all know healthcare can be expensive and hard to come by for seniors. This is a great way to for seniors to gain access to a variety of providers they need,” said Cathy Dulac, clinical coordinator with the Eagle County Ambulance District. “The Senior Health Fair gives our older population the opportunity to focus on their individual health care needs with free screenings and information on aging and wellness. We want to try to catch any health issues in the early stages.”
