Eagle County Sheriff helps with sex offender roundup

EAGLE COUNTY – Police are asking for the public’s help to find fugitive sex offenders.
U.S. Marshals have teamed up with Crime Stoppers and 50 agencies in the state and Wyoming to arrest sex offenders who fail to register according to state and federal laws.
“They want to hide. We need to find them,” said Robert Rodriguez, sex offender investigations coordinator for the U.S. Marshals.
The U.S. Marshals, Adam Walsh Task Force was created in partnership with the Colorado Bureau of Investigations in 2007.
Operation Shepherd 2009 combines state law enforcement resources to locate fugitives who are currently wanted in the state and Wyoming for sex offenses and non-compliance with registration laws.
