Eagle County signs deal with marketing company
Present: Jon Stavney, Sara Fisher, Peter Runyon.
What they did: The commissioners approved a contract with Impact Marketing to create a marketing program for the “energy smart” program being run by Eagle, Pitkin and Gunnison counties.
The company, which is being paid by a three-year federal grant, will help create a marketing plan that will start the program to cut residents’ energy use.
While the main part of the plan – low-interest loans that would be repaid through property tax bills – remains in bureaucratic limbo, county officials are working on ways to help residents determine how to reduce energy use in their homes.
