Eagle County: Teen driving class held this fall
EAGLE COUNTY, Colorado A teen driving class will be held again in October after its success Saturday, said Jill Anderson of Hill & Company. Eighteen teenagers participated and 20 adults volunteered in Tire Track Street Survival driving class, sponsored by the Edwards Rotary Club and held at Vail Valley Jet Center, Anderson said. Students used their own cars in the program and faced challenges such as wet roads, distractions and a slalom course.The teens came away with a new appreciation for what it means to be behind the wheel and the responsibility that comes along with that, Linda Hill, president of Hill & Company and co-organizer of the event, said in a statement. Sheriff Joe Hoy and the Eagle County Sheriffs Office, Inn and Suites at Riverwalk, Zachs Mountain Deli, Eagle Rotary Club and Occasionally Keegan raised money or volunteered their time or both to make the event possible.
