Eagle County will review medical marijuana rules
Vail, CO Colorado
EAGLE COUNTY, Colorado – The Eagle County Board of Commissioners will consider adopting amendments to the county’s land use regulations that govern medical marijuana businesses in the unincorporated areas of the county during its meeting on Tuesday. The meeting begins at 9 a.m. at the Eagle County Building, located at 500 Broadway in Eagle. The hearing will also be aired lived on ecotv18 and streamed live and archived at http://www.ecotv18.comm. If approved, the regulations would take effect on July 1.
As proposed, the regulations limit medical marijuana businesses to properties within the county’s Commercial Limited and Commercial General Zone Districts and prohibits them from locations within 200 feet from any school, public park or playground; any licensed child care facility; any drug or alcohol rehabilitation facility; any residence except those in mixed-use developments; or any public community center or publicly owned or maintained building open for use to the general public. It also prohibits dispensaries as home occupations or home businesses, as well as within any residential or agricultural property.
