Eagle County’s ‘Antiques Roadshow’
Ever wonder about the value of that old washboard you inherited from your great-grandmother? Or how about that pretty bone china tea cup you picked up at a garage sale?The Eagle County Historical Society will host its first-ever ‘Antiques Show & Tell’ on Thursday, April 19, at the Brush Creek Pavilion in Eagle. The event will begin at 7 p.m.Think “Antiques Roadshow,” but with a local twist. Any interested person is invited to bring in an antique item to show to the group. Please be prepared to tell us a brief story about your antique – it’s history, how you got it, whatever. The historical society will award a prize for the best antique and story.
The ECHS has arranged for some experienced antiques appraisers to be on hand to share their knowledge about the items that are shown.Members of the Eagle County Historical Society can attend the program for free.
