Daily staff report
Vail, CO Colorado

VAIL, Colorado – The Vail Valley’s Bright Future Foundation will hold its 12th annual Golf Scramble while incorporating its first-ever tennis tournament at this annual fall classic to be held at Country Club of the Rockies Sept. 27.

The event will be held at 1 p.m. and will be comprised of four-person teams in a scramble format. Team entry is $1,000 and includes greens fees, lunch and an apres golf party.

Tennis will be a round-robin ladies doubles event for $100 per person and will include tennis, lunch and the apres tennis party. Hors d’oeuvres, drinks and prizes are included.

“This event is a major fundraiser for the Bright Future Foundation,” said Sheri Mintz, executive director. “BFF serves our valley by empowering individuals and families affected by domestic violence and abuse to lead safe, productive lives through prevention services, advocacy, crises intervention and recovery services. To have CCR host the event is a tremendous draw as it offers a wonderful venue for both golf and tennis-allowing yet another component to this terrific event.”

Mintz recommended that interested golfers and tennis players register early as the event sells out each year.

Incorporated in 1984 as the Women’s Resource Center, Bright Future Foundation endeavors to break the generational cycle of violence by delivering services that provide immediate relief to families in need.

Programs include 24/7 crisis hotline, Freedom Ranch Safehouse, transitional housing, individual and group counseling, legal advocacy, youth prevention programs and Buddy Mentors.
