Eagle County’s Vasten employee receives award
Vail CO, Colorado
EAGLE COUNTY, COLORADO ” The Basalt Town Council recently awarded Lea Vasten a Proclamation of Community Services for her contributions to the county. Vasten was honored by the Town of Basalt and Eagle County Adult Services at her retirement party on Nov. 5.
The award was given to Vasten based on nominations from the town council. “Her vast knowledge of the community, ongoing participation in community engagement and support for senior citizen programs are among the attributes that qualified Vasten for this award,” said Amy Berens, Mid-Valley Senior Coordinator.
“She brought the community together by linking them to other services in the community,” Berens added.
Vasten was an active employee for the Eagle County Adult Services in the Mid-Valley area for 11 years. “She drove seniors in the Roaring Fork Valley to lunches, medical appointments and social outings and played a vital role in keeping the Roaring Fork Valley seniors active and independent”, said Berens.
