Eagle: Dunk the politicians!

Eagle Valley EnterpriseVail, CO Colorado

EAGLE, Colorado The Eagle Valley Land Trust is making a big splash this year at the Eagle County Fair and Rodeo. The land trust is sponsoring a dunk tank at the event Wednesday through Saturday prior to the rodeo performances. The list of dunkees reads like a political primer for Eagle County. The Eagle Valley Land Trust believes that the fair and rodeo is a very important part of our Western heritage and thats why we have been a long-time supporters of this week, says Cindy Cohagen, executive director. Its a very important week in our life, collectively as party of the West. She adds that every year, the land trust tries to come up with a new promotion to lure people to the fair. Last year, the land trust sponsored a T-shirt coloring contest for kids. This year the organization hit on the dunk tank idea. It will be a great opportunity to see our high country leaders and community charaters get all wet, promised Cohagen.
