Eagle Flight Days plans a Night at the Museum

Next weekend marks the return of one of this valley’s signature summertime celebrations when Eagle Flight Days rolls into town.

For 2015, the Eagle Flight Days theme is

“Flight Days and the county fair are Eagle’s biggest summertime events, so it seems only natural to honor the fair with this year’s celebration,” said organizer Roxie Deane. “Everyone who attends this year’s Flight Days celebration can get into the Western theme fun.”



The Flight Days and county fair connection is particularly evident with the selection of Claude and Mary Jo Gerard as this year’s parade grand marshals. The Gerards have been involved with the county fair for decades.

“When she was a young girl, Mary Jo was a 4-H participant in the fair and for many, many years, she has volunteered as the fair exhibit superintendent. Claude, as a former county commissioner, has also been a stalwart fair supporter and we are so happy we can honor their service during this year’s Flight Days celebration,” said Laurie Asmussen, Eagle County Fair and Rodeo coordinator.

From the baby contest and pet show that launch the fun on Friday afternoon to the kids talent show that winds up the event on Sunday afternoon, Eagle Flight Days offers something for all ages and all interests.
